I got to the place where the queen said that the passage was behind a statue.i got past it but the queen could not follow me she couldnt jump .i played on without her until i reached behind the tank.now i am stuck.whe i try to move on to a specific part of the map,the game ends declaring that 'the queen is dead'.i am stuck now.can anyone help me?

I started playing Star wars pod racer on my old n64. On tournament mode how do your upgraded parts become repaired after each race? Because I spent all my money on a speed part, but I crashed a few times on the next race and now it says its broken I tried buying more pit droids but nothings working.
