If you're describing what I think you're describing then you'll need an R2-Unit. If I remember correctly, The main entrance hall has a narrower side corridor that leads off to the right that has a couple of "torches " on the walls before it comes to a wide gap of flowing dirty water and a door (or was it a "generator "?) on the far side. All I remember is that you can't jump it with Leia or Chewbacca, If you keep going down the nmain hall and work your way deeper into Jabba's Palace you'll run into Luke in a large chamber and eventually R2-D2 and C-3P0 trapped in force fields in another room. Once you free the droids you can double-back, but you'll temporarily lose 3P0 since he can't jump or move well there will be parts of the main hall he can't pass as you go back to that narrow corridor near the beginning. Like I said if I'm remembering right, I was able to get on the other side of the gap by using R2-D2 to "fly " across, but I can't remember if Luke can make it with the Jedi "double jump " ability.
